Description
Are you intimidated by the idea of making your own Ethiopian food? This class will demystify the spices used in Ethiopian cuisine as we blend our own Berbere from scratch. You’ll use your freshly made spice blend as well as my own triple aromatic purée in vegetarian dishes. You’ll also understand how Injera, a fermented flatbread is made, and practice steaming up your own. We guarantee you’ll be eating a flavorful healthy meal by the time we’re through.
This is a two part class.
The main class is about 2 hours. You will have a complete Ethiopian meal at the end of this class.
You will also need about 1 hour approximately two days in advance of the main event to prepare your spice blends and to start the injera sponge.

- Misir Wett - Split Red Lentils with Freshly Ground Berbere
- Kik Alicha - Turmeric & Ginger Yellow Split Peas
- Engoudae Tibs - Sautéed Mushrooms
- Mitmita
NOTES
- Menu is 100% vegetarian and gluten free and the dishes can be made vegan with slight modifications.
- This is a 2-part class.
- You need 1 hour to prep your injera sponge and spice blends.
- 2 days later, you will make the complete meal, in under 2 hours.
