Wrapped Foods for the Family: Potstickers
Who doesn’t love wrapping presents and their foods? Did you know that ravioli comes from the Italian riavvolgere, which means "to wrap"? Why not “wrap” up these classes for a great holiday gift for the cook or budding cook on your list!
In this series of at home Family Friendly Cooking Workshops, cooks of all ages explore and make their own versions of popular wrapped foods from a variety of cuisines.
Although this series is targeted towards families, you don’t need kids to benefit. Everyone is welcome. Teaching Table will provide extra tactics for how to assist and empower children in the kitchen.
Menu
You will make the following:
- Shiitake and Carrot Vegetarian Potstickers
and/or
- Pork/Chicken and Chive Potstickers
There is some prep required for this class. You’ll receive a detailed ingredients and materials list.
No special tools or ingredients required. We teach confident substitutions.
Additional Information
- Foods can be enjoyed right away, saved for later or frozen for a rainy day!
- All recipes are customizable to most* dietary needs and can be made with readily available ingredients. Teaching Table will support you through substitutions. *We do not encourage gluten free variations of these recipes, however.
- The recipes for the fillings are suggestions only. We empower you to use what you have, get creative with food scraps and leftovers and fill your wrapped foods with whatever you like!
- Classes require some advanced prep and final cooking steps.
